Privacy Policy

This privacy policy ("Policy") describes how Logue AI, Inc. ("Logue AI," "we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated in Delaware with its principal offices located at [company address], collects, uses, discloses, and protects your Personal Information when you use our Services (as defined below).

For the purpose of this Policy, "Personal Information" means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or household. This includes Personal Information you provide or generate when you use: (a) our Logue AI meeting assistant application (the "App"); and (b) https://logue-ai.com (the "Website") (collectively, the "Services").

When you use the Services, you accept and understand that we collect, process, use, and store your Personal Information as described in this Policy.

If you are a California resident, Section 7 includes additional information about your rights and how we collect, use, and share your information. If you are a resident of another state with an applicable privacy law, Section 8 describes your rights.

If you do not agree with this Policy, you must not use any of the Services. If you change your mind in the future, you must stop using the Services and you may exercise your rights concerning your Personal Information as set out in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect and use the following categories of Personal Information about you:

Information You Provide to Us

Registration Information. When you create an account on our Services, you will be asked to provide your name, email address, and a password. You may voluntarily add a profile picture. For paid plans (Basic or Pro), our payment processing partner Stripe, Inc. may also collect your name, billing address, and payment information. Payment information is not shared with us and is maintained by Stripe.

Audio Recordings and Transcriptions. When you use the Services, you may provide us with your audio recordings ("Audio Recordings") and we generate transcriptions and other outputs from those recordings.

Communication Information. When you contact us, you provide us with your phone number, email, and any other information you choose to provide over such communication, including information about your query.

Information You Provide About Others

If you provide an Audio Recording, it may contain the Personal Information of third parties, including their voices. Before providing any Audio Recording, you are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions and consents from all individuals whose voices or other Personal Information are captured in the recording.

Information We Automatically Collect

Usage Information. When you use the Services, you generate information pertaining to your use, including timestamps, such as access, record, share, edit, and delete events, app use information, interactions with our team, and transaction records.

Device Information. We assign a unique user identifier ("UUID") to each mobile device that accesses the Services. When you use our Services, we collect information such as your IP address, UUIDs, device IDs, web beacons, and other device information (such as carrier type, whether you access our Service from a desktop or mobile platform, device model, brand, web browser, and operating system).

Location Information. When you use the Services, we receive your approximate location information. For example, we infer your approximate location by using your IP address.

Information Received from Third Parties

We receive transaction information from our payment processor Stripe.

We also collect and use aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data. Aggregated data may be derived from your Personal Information but is not Personal Information, as this data will not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. If we combine or connect aggregated data with your Personal Information so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we will treat the combined data as Personal Information in accordance with this Policy.

2. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use your Personal Information for the following purposes:

Set up your account. We use your registration information and device information to create and maintain your account on our Services.

Provide you with the Services. We use your Audio Recordings, usage information, and device information to provide you with the Services, including generating transcriptions and other AI-powered outputs. We also use your communication information to facilitate support (e.g., retrieval of a forgotten password).

Improve and monitor the Services. We use information we automatically collect or generate about you when you use the Services, as well as device information, to analyze the use of and improve our Services. We train our proprietary artificial intelligence technology only on de-identified audio data and aggregated usage data. We do not use your identifiable Audio Recordings or transcriptions to train our AI models without your explicit consent.

Communicate with you. If you contact us, we will use your contact information to communicate with you and, if applicable, your usage information to support your use of the Services.

Send you newsletters and updates. We may send you emails with news or updates pertaining to our Services. When doing so, we process your email address and name, and may process your usage information. You can unsubscribe at any time by following the unsubscribe mechanism at the bottom of each communication.

Prevent fraud and enforce our terms. We use relevant Personal Information to monitor the use of the Services to detect fraud or other user behavior that prejudices the integrity of our Services, to take steps to remedy such fraud and behavior, to defend ourselves against legal claims or disputes, and to enforce our terms and policies.

Comply with legal obligations. We may use your Personal Information as required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.

3. Biometric Data

What We Collect. The Services may use speaker identification and voice analysis features that generate biometric identifiers, including voiceprints, from Audio Recordings ("Biometric Data"). A voiceprint is a mathematical representation of the characteristics of an individual's voice that can be used to identify a specific speaker.

Purpose. We collect and use Biometric Data solely for the purpose of providing speaker identification, speaker diarization (distinguishing between speakers in a recording), and voice analysis features within the Services.

Consent. Before collecting any Biometric Data, we will inform you in writing (including electronically) that Biometric Data is being collected, the specific purpose for which it is being collected, and the length of time for which it will be stored. We will obtain your written consent (including electronic consent) before collecting any Biometric Data.

Retention and Destruction. Logue AI will retain your Biometric Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or for one (1) year following your last interaction with the Services, whichever occurs first. Within forty-five (45) days of receiving a verified deletion request, Logue AI will permanently destroy your Biometric Data. When Biometric Data is no longer needed, Logue AI will permanently destroy it using methods that render the data unrecoverable.

No Sale or Disclosure. Logue AI will not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from your Biometric Data. Logue AI will not disclose your Biometric Data to any third party without your consent, except: (a) as required by law, legal process, or valid warrant or subpoena; or (b) to service providers bound by contractual obligations to protect the confidentiality of such data.

Security. Logue AI stores, transmits, and protects Biometric Data using a reasonable standard of care, and in a manner that is at least as protective as the manner in which Logue AI stores, transmits, and protects other confidential and sensitive information.

Your Responsibility. If you upload Audio Recordings containing the voices of other individuals, you are solely responsible for providing all required notices to, and obtaining all required consents from, those individuals before their Biometric Data is collected through the Services, as required under all applicable biometric privacy laws.

We retain your Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. The specific retention periods vary by data type:

When deleting Personal Information, we will take measures to render such Personal Information irrecoverable or irreproducible, and the electronic files containing such Personal Information will be permanently deleted.

Depending on where you reside, you may have the following rights with respect to your Personal Information:

7. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, "CCPA"), provides you with specific rights regarding your Personal Information.

Categories of Personal Information Collected. In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of Personal Information: identifiers (name, email, IP address, device IDs); biometric information (voiceprints); internet or other electronic network activity information (usage data, device information); audio information (audio recordings); geolocation data (approximate location); and professional or employment-related information (to the extent contained in audio recordings).

Sources of Personal Information. We collect Personal Information from: (a) you directly; (b) automatically when you use the Services; and (c) third parties such as payment processors.

Business or Commercial Purposes for Collection. We collect and use Personal Information for the purposes described in Sections 2 and 3 of this Policy.

Categories of Personal Information Disclosed for a Business Purpose. In the preceding 12 months, we have disclosed the following categories of Personal Information for a business purpose: identifiers (to cloud service providers, AI service providers, payment processors); audio information (to AI service providers and data labeling providers in de-identified form); biometric information (to AI service providers for speaker identification); and internet or other electronic network activity information (to cloud service providers and analytics providers).

Sale and Sharing. Logue AI does not sell your Personal Information. Logue AI does not share your Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Sensitive Personal Information. We collect sensitive Personal Information, including biometric information processed for the purpose of identifying a consumer. We use sensitive Personal Information only as necessary to provide the Services you have requested. You have the right to limit our use and disclosure of your sensitive Personal Information to uses necessary to provide the Services.

Your Rights Under the CCPA. As a California resident, you have the right to: (a) know what Personal Information we collect, use, disclose, and sell; (b) request deletion of your Personal Information; (c) correct inaccurate Personal Information; (d) opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information; (e) limit the use of your sensitive Personal Information; and (f) not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. Authorized Agent. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. The authorized agent must provide proof of your written authorization, and we may still require you to verify your identity directly.

Financial Incentives. We do not offer financial incentives or price or service differences related to the collection of Personal Information.

8. State Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of a state with an applicable comprehensive privacy law (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Indiana, Kentucky, or Rhode Island), you may have additional rights regarding your Personal Information, including:

Sensitive Data. Under most state privacy laws, biometric data processed for the purpose of uniquely identifying an individual is classified as sensitive data. We obtain your consent before processing sensitive data, including Biometric Data, as described in Section 3 of this Policy.

Universal Opt-Out Mechanisms. We honor browser-based or device-based opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control, where required by applicable state law.

Do Not Sell or Share. Logue AI does not sell your Personal Information. Logue AI does not share your Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

Appeals. If we decline your privacy rights request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us at support@logue-ai.com. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state's attorney general to submit a complaint.

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your use of the Services.

Strictly Necessary Cookies. These cookies are required for the operation of the Services, such as session cookies for authentication and security.

Analytics Cookies. We use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with the Services, including pages visited, features used, and time spent on the Services. These cookies help us improve the Services.

Preference Cookies. These cookies remember your settings and preferences to provide a more personalized experience.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. If you choose to disable cookies, some features of the Services may not function properly.

We do not use tracking technologies for targeted advertising. We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals because there is no industry-standard protocol for such signals. We do honor Global Privacy Control signals as described in Section 8.

10. Children

The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If you learn that a child has provided us with Personal Information in violation of this Policy, please contact us at support@logue-ai.com and we will take steps to delete such information.

11. Data Security

Logue AI maintains and implements physical, administrative, and technical safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Personal Information. These measures include encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. You transmit data to the Services at your own risk.

The Website and Services may provide features or links to websites and services provided by third parties. Any information you provide on third-party websites or services is provided directly to the operators of such websites or services and is subject to their policies governing privacy and security, even if accessed via our Website or in connection with our Services.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Services prior to the changes taking effect. We will update the "Effective" date at the top of this Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
